Worship is at the very heart of church life at Quaker Memorial insofar as it is the central act of people gathering each week. Services of worship that are largely traditional in nature take place each Sunday morning at 10:00. A typical Sunday morning service will have components of prayer, singing of hymns, scripture reading, an anthem by our Chancel Choir and occasionally by our children’s Choirs and proclamation of God’s Word via a sermon. Instrumental music is also offered before, during, and after the service. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is observed on the first Sunday of each month and occasionally at special services throughout the year. Baptism, the second sacrament we observe, takes place on an as needed basis. Our worship services seek to engage both the minds and the hearts of those in attendance. We gather with a sense of reverence as well as a sense of hopefulness about what God can do and will do in our lives. We invite you to join us as we participate in this central activity of the church of Jesus Christ.
